1.2.6.4 Consequences
Lakatus brings to the forefront a paradox that is apparent to all mathematicians. This is that mathematics when written down is clear concise clean and elegant but when mathematicians work they do so in a haphazard way. They try things if they don't work they try something else. They use hunches and quesses and intuition.
In fact, when mathematicians work they use Lateral thinking a lot and when they present they use Vertical Thinking but this is the subject of the next chapter
