For guests from Western Europe the "classical" land route is like this:
Berlin - Frankfurt/Oder - Poznan - direction towards Warsaw. At Kutno
turn northward towards Augustow and Suwalki. Cross the border to
Lithuania: Kaunas, Panevezys and into Latvia. Take the ring road of Riga and
follow the highway to Pleskava till the exit towards Valmiera. The
border crossing point into Estonia is at Valka/Valga.
From Jaani Kirik in Valga take Kuperjanovi street, cross the traffic
lights towards TAMBRE, cross the railway and follow the forest road
for 16 kilometers. Cross VÄIKE-EMAJÕGI, turn right after the bridge and
follow the sign posts.
There is a bus line Valga - Antsla three times a day. It leaves at
Valga station. Get off at "Iigaste tee" and follow the sign posts.
