Module of Harmonic Analysis (Lembit Pallas)

This module is developed by Lembit Pallas (TTU) and Andi Kivinukk (TPU). Plan of the module is developed in cooperation with colleques from TUT and SU. At this moment Lembit Pallas has finished 30% of the plan and Andi Kivinukk will give his part to WG 4 leader after two-three weeks.

Module of Discrete Event Simulation (Eric Fletcher)

This module is based on special simulation software, called "ARENA". Distribution of teaching "ARENA" version is free. Part of this module is set up in the Web. Web address is

This Web version of module is developed by programmer Jaagup Kippar (TPU).

The book about discrete simulation and corresponding module will be finished during Eastern Holiday.

Module of Linear algebra (Ivar Tammeraid)

This module has been finished. There must be added only examples developed by students in Tampere. This module is set up in the web, but using this material is problematic, the Web server in TU is often down (especially at the weekends).

Module of Mathematical modelling (Alfredo Moscardini)

There was a lecture about principles of mathematical modelling. Those principles are Introduction to Mathematics, Thinking, Modelling Methodology, Applications.

WG3 report (Martti Ala Rantala)

Last year equipment was purchaced form HUNDHILL company and all software and coputers are in place (TU, TPU and TTU).

This year first software will be bought (Matlab Class Kit, Scientific Workplace and ARENA). All other depends on confirmation for financing project from Turin.

TPU and TU have already sent invoices for computers to contractor.

Pedagogical aspects of HBLE-s (Heli Ruokamo-Saari)

WG6 was founded for givig rates for Hypermedia Based Learnig Enviroments, developed by other workgroups. In Tampere there have been developed general principles for Pedagogical aspects of HBLE-s. These principles are presented in publications and they will be discussed in WG6 meeting. The rates for developed modules will be given at summer meeting in Lahemaa.
