Construct a list of the features of the simplified model which you consider may be of importance in the modelling process. You can assume that you will not build all of the features that you identify into your initial model but you should list all of the features that you can think of any then consider selecting those features which will enable you to build an initial model of the fish population. An example is given to get you started.
Feature List | Units |
Food | KG |
Type of fish | cod, whale, pike, ... |
Size of fish | cm |
Sex | m, f |
Age | year |
Sea | North, Baltic, ... |
Space | km2 |
Feature List | Assumption |
Food | Ample |
Space | Ample |
Disease | None |
Pollution | None |
Predators | None |
Natural Catastrophes | None |
Breeding Conditions | Ideal |
Dying Conditions | Natural Lifecycle |
Clearly, the Birth-rate and Death-rate need further consideration.
